Torghatten is one of Norway's most famous tourist attractions, known for its hole that goes straight through the mountain. The mountain has created wonder and experience for travelers through hundreds of years. An iconic mountain on an iconic coastline, a geological monument to processes that create our landscape. The hat-shaped mountain communicates not only a geological story, but also the story about the people who first came to this part of the world, the one about the strandflat as a basis for life for generations, and that of deep mythology woven together with the survival of human beings in the harsh coastal environment.
